There are many types of meditation that can be utilised to support your body and mind. A guided imagery meditation is a practice that involves each of the five senses (vision, taste, sound, smell and touch).
It is different from a visualisation meditation in that visualisation focuses purely on visuals, whereas a guided imagery meditation creates an engaged state of mind throughout the entire body by visualising all five senses altering.
