How long have you been at MannaCare?
Eight months
What made you decide to become a physio?
I have always wanted to work in an occupation that could help others. Being a physiotherapist allows me to use my clinical expertise to treat and restore a patient’s functional capacity which in turn makes my career exciting and satisfying.
What is the most enjoyable part of your role as a physiotherapist?
I enjoy being a physiotherapist because it is a profession where you are always helping people and learning new things. We play a key role in enabling people to improve their overall health and quality of life. It is rewarding to support patients to overcome obstacles and be able to get back to their normal life.
What are your areas of expertise or interests?
Gerontology and Neurology
How have physiotherapists adapted during COVID-19?
It was not easy at the start as we used to run a lot of exercise groups and face-to-face consultations. Under the COVID restrictions, the mode of service delivery changed with implementation of more tele-health, individual consultation and home visits. Our team has all been trained and has been coping well with the current situation.
